Upon graduating from law school, Chuck joined the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office in 1985. Chuck gained significant trial experience while representing the Commonwealth. Throughout an extensive legal career, Chuck has fought to ensure adequate representation for indigent defendants in the criminal justice system.
As a judge in the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas, Chuck will continue that fight by making sure justice is equally accessible for every person. That means treating all people with dignity and respect and ensuring that their voices are heard.
In addition to his professional excellence, Chuck has dedicated himself to community service having served as a member of the Shaler Township Zoning Hearing Board for over two decades. Chuck has also spent time cultivating the next generation of attorneys and encouraging young minds as a mock trial coach.
Chuck earned his BSBA and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, achieving Law Review status. A testament to his tenacity and work ethic, he attended law school while working as a clerk for the prestigious criminal defense firm Manifesto Doherty.
Chuck resides in Shaler Township. He enjoys spending time with his fiancée Jane, hiking and bike riding. They have a combined seven children from their previous marriages; Ellen, Emily, Elizabeth, Alex, Angeline, Adam and Zachary and two son- in- laws; Pat and Garrett. Chuck also loves spending time with his grandsons, Bennett and Lincoln.
